a bad bus ride

haha karen said i long time nv post liao. my last entry was just nice last thurs. got tix for ministerial forum today. great that someone wants to go with me! and 4 of us are going tgt... though we thought that tix are running out fast. and it's at NTU!
late today cuz i missed my bus sadly when i saw my bus gone away in front of me. had a bad bus ride today. cuz i sat infront. don really like to sit in front cuz those were the places of priority seats. and when u don give up the seat to those who are 'claimed to be of high priority' pple will stare at u. but then some people are just ought not to be given that seat! they stare at pple to give up the seat and took it for granted that the seat is theirs. fishy smell on the bus cuz there were aunties carrying stuff that they have just bought. feel very frustrated. and also when some (0,20,13,19,8,4,18) talk so loud in the bus disrupting other people. buses should be a mode of convenient transport for the public, and it ought to be a quiet place for people to take a slow step of life, a quiet place to rest, think abt what they have in mind, away from the busy lifestyle. thats what i think about public transport. same for trains and cars. but people are just too inconsiderate to talk so loudy in the buses like it's their home or 7 jue ge tai. mp3s blasting on the bus and mrt like nobody's business. lousy songs i thought. phone ringing so loudly that they just refused to pick up when the boss is calling again and again. this are distractions. just take a look at what japan is doing. when boarding public transport. phones and all must be switched to silent mode. and the buses and trains are all so quiet. it ought to be a quiet place. and then there is a man carring a 3 yr old child up the bus. i donno what is the child crying and screaming so loudly for. kinda pity him but he cries and screams are so annoying that it makes me very upset. it seems like someone is being taken away from his sight. it's kinda heart breaking sound. don wish to tolerate it either.

but some people are just too inconsiderate. they shouldnt have been gained that kind of respect.

it's the first time i took a non-aircon 179. i always like this kind of buses cuz when it moves swiftly. can feel the strong wind coming in the bus. but this is not the case here cuz the bus is filled with people. could feel the people-people humid.

went to econs lecture and the lecturer is great. he explains clearly though a little too fast. cracked some jokes as well. went for an early dinner before going to the YOG volunteer briefing with karen. they started late but showed us 4 videos. one of them kinda funny and exaggerating abt beijing olympics volunteering. still not quite sure what role i want to join cuz they are quite unattractive to me.

went for my 'night class' again. though the topic is abit dry. but still not that alien and bored. something interesting abt ecotourism which i don really quite get it

Sustainable tourism does not have to be ecotourism,
But,
1. Ecotourism should always be sustainable tourism.
2. Most sustainable tourism is likely to be ecotourism.
3. If ecotourism is not sustainable tourism, then it is unlikely that there is any sustainable tourism.

i can only think of one case where statement 4 is true. when the rest are false.

today the lecturer showed us a video on trekking in nepal. tourism. on the diff local tourist perspectives and tourist perspectives. quite troubled abt the dilemma posed in the video. contradictions and ironies in the their perspectives. especially the tourists. at least this module is not that boring and difficult lah. but i may consider to SU cuz im not confident of scoring. since this is GER PE .

don't miss the sign up volunteer deadline for YOG and stand chart! esp YOG! once in a life time experience.

weeks have just passed. but i still haven really mug on my books yet. they are still NEW lying on my table. gotta make full use of my weekends. don't disturb me out ya?

its friday! i love fridays cuz can laughed with friends again! and can eat good lunch! lectures sometimes can be quite fun with them!
