A fun and enjoyable day for me at the Singapore Flyer with my cousins and their friends!
I went out today with a stormy weather but it was a complete sunny day at city. Met them at Marina Square with a whole group of guys with me as the only little girl. Proceed onto SG flyer with me as the lousy tour guide leading them a weird way there, through an ulu staircase down to a carpark or something. The SG flyer is quite inconvenient place to go to. Initially I can't bluff 5 student tickets at one go (So Karen was right!). It's one ticket for one student card (Why I forget to take one more yesterday ) But we thought of a way to buy it. Buy at different times at different counter using my different matric card by a different person. If not each ticket will cost $20 more which is so not worth it. I think the ride just worth $10 dollars. Not more, lesser it can go. But I caught a magnificent bird's eye view of Singapore. Never thought that just within 45 years of independence we can grow into such a busy and high tech place with skyscrapers at city, beautiful sight! Compared to big cities like London, New York or Shanghai, we won't lose out either! I am so excited to see how is Singapore like in 10 years time. I'm just afraid that we will sink because we are building so much underground mrt line.
Next stop, Esplanade or durian head we call that. I was so hungry, didn't have lunch because I had my breakfast earlier on. So we walked around and I ate something at the kopi house @ esplanade. One cousin of mine just love to take photos like a tourist. Then we walk to the Merlion Park along the highway across Esplanade. Got a very nice view too, reminds me of the days in Shanghai two years back. I think it's my first time really there to take photos, not sure if I had passed by before or something. Keep getting splashed by the Merlion's 'saliva', a sunny and windy day. Perfect weather. I'm like a tourist... from Singapore!
Wanted to bring them to Clarke Quay for a walk or some Museums to see see look look. But we headed on to Ion Orchard when he wants to see the building, when we keep saying there's nothing much there. Next stop: Ion Orchard and Orchard road. Walk along there for awhile and we went in to the Olympic superstore to have a look. Well, I have been passing by there for the whole of YOG period but I didn't get to step in the shops, finally I have the chance to see! Err, well the things are exactly the same as what I saw in ICC. But ya, fulfilled my wish la haha though I didn't get anything but I forgot to bring my accreditation card to enjoy some discounts for them. ARGH!
Walking the whole day under the sun. Fell asleep on the way back to my cousin's house on 190. I was very hungry and ate 2 portions of rice. Even finish my aunt's portion so she had to cook another serving of meehoon for herself. Nice dinner! But before dinner, I went on to edventure and take a look. Almost all core course materials are up including the elective that I wanted to drop. The first 2 electures are already up there for my self study liao. Feeling very unprepared.
To-do lists:
- Top up cash card
- Finish my JC tuition stuff.
- I hope I can get an iTouch asap when school starts. So I can use that to study and entertain myself.
- Play Diner Dash, reminds me of the times I was hooked on the game years before when I last played it on Yiqian's iTouch
- Clear my room and clean my table so I will have a nice table to study on
- Clear my notes.. whatever notes I have
- Plan my one week attire (Sounds lame but ya, I do that most of the time)
- Blog about my whole summer holidays, my new academic year resolutions
- Start to revise on my cores and prepare all my exercise books to start the new year
Do you think I can finish it within these weekend? (If I pon RSPHI again, :P)
