Do you miss last sem's MAS 110 lecturer?
If yes, then go listen to 114 E lecture!

HAHAHAHA! I was quite amused when I open the ppt slides and heard his voice instead of the current prof's voice.

Full!

I am so full today. Had two gatherings today on this public holiday. I spent all my earnings yesterday.

First was polar bears outing, only 5 bears attended. And we celebrated KP's birthday at Sizzler. I couldn't finish my share when I only ate one plate of salad (there was free flow of salad), half a bowl of soup and a bread, one main course, 3/4 of ice lemon tea, one piece of cake. I couldn't even finish my french fries. Aiyo, I can't imagine eating steamboat in the evening.

I went SMU to study for awhile before I headed to class outing. The area was so dark and nobody bothered to on the lights. One waiting for each other to on. But, I slept for awhile there. After that I continued to study accounting again.

KP lead me the way to bugis mrt station. Sounds funny right? A non-local staying in Singapore for around 4 years? Leading and navigating a local around local places.

The guys are very good. They didn't wait for the girls before going to steamboat place. But anyway, it was fun talking to them, laughing at and with them. But one thing sad is, one of them took up smoking, kind of an obstacle to his bright future. I didn't know I could eat quite an amount of steamboat stuff today, when I am complaining I am super full. I ate too much unhealthy stuff today, well at least salads today are healthy. I drank a spoon of chao ta tom yam soup without knowing. Please, don't let me fall sick at this crucial point of time. My throat is getting heaty. Luckily Mum made liang teh. Once again, I repeat, NO! My throat cannot get heaty. Because it will mean that all other symptoms will follow.

Back to life again, the 5 things I need to do. Eat. Sleep. Toilet. Study. Tuition. And, blogging isn't one of them!

elearning week comes and goes. I had fun this week, enjoying my time together with people fun. More importantly, I could get enough rest as well, no need to wake up early in the morning to go for lectures. I just love the feeling of getting up without the alarm clock waking you up, having breakfast with my mum, studying a little at home before leaving house for lessons.

Well, what is stopping me from making my decision?

April Fools!

Happy April Fool’s Day!

Today’s Calculus lesson was sad. Only 5 students came for my tutor’s class, what I heard from the tutor was there was only 1 student next door. I was the only girl inside the room. Is it because of E learning or April Fools that people miss this lesson? Haha… I was quite scared, didn’t like the feeling of studying with so little people, but after that it was still ok because I had a company! The guy with orange bag! I guess I learn quite a lot today.

On my way to lesson, I met Dr Tan when she was on the way out of school. She remembers me! Well, I better not do anything wrong! HAHA!

I went over to LWN library to study for accounting; I planned to study for it this week before I could decide to SU or not this coming Sunday. On my way there, I decided to walk past Tan Chin Tuan LT instead, and saw quite a crowd there. I was thinking, oh, it’s the SU exam welfare package. The queue was so long and some of them were holding umbrellas under the sun. Just for some free coffee and free subway cookies? Wow, so enthusiastic. I have never gotten some goody bag from NTUSU. The queue was from TCT to the centre of IT services, which was quite near LWM. Imagine there were two rows of people crowding, not in single file. I headed straight to the library then.

Yes I know I’m suaku, I didn’t know that the computer tables have table lights! The lighting was good. Just nice for me. Maybe that’s my second place where I can study with computers. But I dislike sitting with some groups of people who will talk non-stop. It poured suddenly. Making me feel cold.

Accounting lecture was a story telling time. I guess I have a lot of concepts to catch up, be it under MCQs or those structured questions.

Looking forward to TMR! Happy Good Friday!

Let me share with you my bus ride experience today!

Wow. I have reached the 300th posts on 30 – 3 -2010.

Anyway, I always love bus rides. I can rest my mind, or, I can reflect on what is done over the past period, or even, think of crappy stuff!

I am still thinking of the invisible Cheshire Cat and that cruel Red Queen. Such a wonderful movie!

Today I had breakfast with my Mum, after that I planned to stay at home for awhile to complete my homework. Nevertheless I left my house early to reach school. I was chasing after my bus when I am still in the middle of the road, waiting for cars to pass by before I can run towards the bus. I was still a distance away from the bus stop, but something just pushed me on and ran for the bus. And, the bus captain waited for me! When you put in effort to do something, the effort pays off. Just like what Karen mentioned before, the bus won’t have waited for me if I don’t make an attempt to run. But I was thinking, it could have been a coincidence as well, because the captain has to wait for the passing cars to pass by before he can divert to the main road. However, I beg to differ! When I cross the road, chasing for the bus, it was a red light before, which means that there are no passing cars. Therefore, I can conclude that, my effort pay off! (Sounds like an argument paragraph!)

My defence science lecture ended very early today, the lecturer was faster than I expected him to be. Had a bite for nuggets at Old Chang Kee before I headed off home. I didn’t want to chase after 2 179s because I have a strong instinct that 179 A is arriving. And indeed I was true! I board up the bus, the bus captain smiled at me, I returned the smile too! The bus was empty. How nice was it to be the first passenger of the ride. And I thought, how nice was it for me to board a bus with the only person in the very big bus, with only a captain driving me throughout. The first and last passenger of the journey! But, another 2 people went up the bus – spoiled my honour. 179 A bus captains always smile at me when I am the first passenger of his bus. HAHA. I had a crap: I notice NTU students were very graceful when they waited for their bus, be it shuttle bus or what. They will sit there patiently, and wait for the bus to slowly arrive, and will board patiently. Okay, I’m very bo liao but HAHA, just a thought to entertain myself.

As I alight, I was being fooled by my wishful thinking (though April Fool’s day hasn’t arrived), I was not the first passenger at all! Actually there were two more guys on the upper deck. Conclusion: never judge the capacity of the bus just by the lower deck. But seriously, the bus is so empty, why do they need to painstakingly climb up the deck and raise the CG of the bus? Luckily two more people boarded, which makes the number 4 > 2.

I went to take 174. This uncle reminds me of what happen yesterday and the day before. The day before, I was too engrossed in sms-ing my friends on the mobile till I didn’t notice that the bus captain is ready to start the bus. Then one uncle from the back “OI!” me. I thought, this bus capt just reached the interchange, he couldn’t be the one driving again. Then I almost went up to the wrong bus, instead if another which I didn’t notice. So embarrassing to be the first in queue. Another time was when I couldn’t open the sensored door. So I have to go by another way to get out of the terminal. The door couldn’t sense me! Then today, I knew that the bus wasn’t for boarding, there was this uncle who thought he can go up the bus, so when he wanted to head for the bus, the driver gestured, not for boarding! Haha, I can see his “sian-diao” face! Then after that, he was playing with the sensor light, abit irritating because he went to sense his hand under the sensor to maintain the door opening. Maybe he scared later he couldn’t go out of the terminal just like me. HAHAHA! He keep playing and playing, reminded me of what happen yesterday when I was heading home. Hur hur! But seeing one uncle being “sian-diao” after he almost boarded the wrong bus, he played with the sensor throughout that period!

Okay, I have wasted one and a half hour listening to comm. lecture and blogging. Seriously waste time but I think it’s quite important for me. I need to get started on my accounting, do pyp before I can decide whether it’s worth for my SU. Though I already made up my mind to SU it.

Am i very approachable?

Well… I haven’t been blogging for a while. But I will still update the blog to keep it alive!
Haha. What spurs me on this topic on approachable or not? At times, people may have the impression of me being very cold and dao. But for some, people say I am friendly. Let me share with you! Yes, you are reading my blog right? Haha. Great it’s you! … about my encounters these few days.

Initially, I was being OK OK with those salesman, promoter, people giving out flyers along the entrance and exit between the JP interchange and Boon Lay MRT station. I will give a smile when I want to reject something, or say “Sorry. I am not interested.” But now, I have been becoming increasingly disturbed by such situations. They will just tap on to any Tom, Dick or Harry and blabbered on. Almost everyday, there will be people around doing this kind of job. And I was the Tom, Dick or Harry being approached. As I have mentioned, last time, I will give them a smile. But now, I will just be a typical Singaporean, pretend I never hear anything and walk away. Sometimes, I really disliked walking between the interchange and 179 berth. And also, will the MIO TV booth please disappear? It gets very irritating during peak hours when people are rushing for work or rushing home. A whole bunch of uncles stood there watching some football matches, blocking the main road. I will just walk past the TV on purpose, block all of the view. I don’t care. I’m very bad right? Everyday this happens to me you know?

Haha. Let me get on to the topic. On Wednesday, I was quite early for my tuition in Bukit Panjang. So to delay some time, I walk by the long path along the road instead of walking through the HBD flats to her condo. Then, I was fascinated about some big black bird biting on some tissue and flying up the branch. Initially, I thought, it was an eagle? Haha. Silly me. Why will an eagle appear at such places. I took a closer look, it was a big black crow! AH AH AH. Ok I’m lame. Then suddenly I heard someone calling: “Da jie! Da jie!” I thought the person is not calling me. But I found out that I was the only person walking along the path. So who else instead of me? And I wasn’t used to the name too because never in my life people call me Da Jie! Of course, I am small, cute and young! (wahahahaha) Anyway, he was a PRC guy looking for the directions, asking me how to go to Sembawang. Of course, I don’t know the roads quite well. But I still managed to give a reply in mandarin. “Sorry, I don’t live here. But I think you can go to the kuai su gong lu to Woodlands and then from there you can go to 3 ba wang” And I repeated it for quite awhile because he keep asking me the same thing over and over again. I guess he was a newcomer working in Singapore for awhile, wanting to deliver goods to the place but don’t know how. This reminds me when I went for the China trip with my JC. My coach captain doesn’t speak a lot. But suddenly one time when he was driving, everyone else was silent, he opened the window and shouted quite loudly when he was waiting for the traffic light to turn green or something, in the middle of the road: “Hey LAO XIONG! LAO XIONG!” To another uncle who was crossing the road in the middle of nowhere I don’t know why. “Ni zhi dao _____ gai wang na li zou ma?” And Chinese speak loudly, the conversation continued and it ended with, “Hao xie la lao xiong!” Haha. Me and NgLi were like, WOW!, first time hear him talk. So cute! That’s how they communicate. Females they call them DA JIE, regardless of age. For males, it’s LAO XIONG! Interressant ya?

On Thursday, after I had my BIG breakfast with my dearest MUMMY! I headed to the busstop for school. Similarly, I was the one walking on the path again! Then an old lady was walking towards me, and she suddenly paused and said two words to me, “Jin Zhua!” It means so hot in Hokkien. HAHA. Out of no reason, but I smiled and nodded my head to her. She continued walking slowly, and I continued walking briskly because every time my bus will come in the middle of nowhere suddenly that I always need to run for my bus, to go to school and attend a 2% quiz (which will take me 2 hours to and fro, but it was worth it! Haha, I tell you why!)

After I reached the interchange, similarly, I will walk very fast to show my sense of urgency to other people who will take me for their any Tom, Dick or Harry so as to avoid their time. But… Hai, why I so suay? I was the only one coming from the MRT interchange walking towards the 179 berth. An uncle tried to stop me and he pointed to the ez link machine. I thought something wrong with the machine or he doesn’t know how to read English maybe I could help him a little. But later did I know, he wanted to go to Choa Chu Kang, his card has not enough money, and he has a few coins with him. Oh, then in this case, sorry I couldn’t help much. And he was speaking to me in some dialect I couldn’t decode, if it’s lending money. I shall be heartless here. Sorry, I need to rush and bye!

Aiyo… why people always approach me? HAHA! Is it a good or bad thing?

I can tell you, out of 10 reporters or journalists I saw outside for some event or something. 9 of them will definitely approach me and ask questions. It depends on what topic is being discussed here la. But slowly, I’m getting frustrated out of it when I am neutral or willing to help in the past. Well, I hope I am not venting out my frustrations over here. But I guess this is an interesting topic to ponder about? What are your experiences?

Just now I am being SIAO! Out of nothing, I saw the Calculus quiz solutions being uploaded. And I jump so high in front of my mother like crazy! Never in my life I jumped so high. Hmm, actually got lah, when I receive the call for my A levels results. Although I have not gotten back my results. My solutions were correct! I pray hard that the prof will not penalize me for circling in pencil. So I have said, the 2 hours of journey was quite worth it ya?

Bon week-end!
