the sch is busy for this past two days. due to the outbreak of swine in 9 countries. raising alerts from green to yellow to orange. from 4 to 5. students and staff need to take temperature every morning starting from wednesday. on wednesday.theres a need to bring thermometer. heard the news on the radio but i overlooked it. so i din bring. since we're required to submit info by 9am. mr kwok helped me to take using the 'ear thermometer'. 35.9 degree celsius. so low.
had a quiz with s25 at ten. basically im slacking today. hmm i not! had to do my trigo questions. cuz i shifted my lesson forward today since friday is a public holiday. had two students attending. one guy followed his friend. trying to joke in my lesson but nvm.
the highlight today is the movie in vivocity! gugu the cat. so cute! i like to watch cats. somehow got cheated cuz i thot the meaning of gu gu is of some significance or special meaning behind. but it just meant GOOD GOOD.
just received the letter from pjc abt college day. and i got two awards! academic achievement and cca leadership!... next is the big big pile from NUS acceptance. got accepted into faculty of science. which means i need to make a decision now. many people are telling me abt the prestige of nus and the standard too. i wish to follow my heart but it seems that no one is agreeing with me.
on thursday the GO was terribly busy due to the urgent meeting for the staff. it's my first time attending meetings with the teachers. mainly addressing abt the issue on SOP of swine and the AWARE buzz on homosexuality. which all agree on taking one stand. the meeting was cool. and mrs tan can be very humourous at times. just find that pj's welfare is good. anyway. the bell and time of lessons was pushed back 15 mins. so all lessons start 15 mins later. and we have to mentally know that it was pushed back 15 mins. for today it was like the world stopped turning for 15 mins. or rather. turned slow by 15 mins. my funny laoban wrote 7.40 ~ 8.10 on the board for the start of the test. 7.40? who will start test on 7.40? ... i pointed out the mistake and kept laughing silently behind the class.
yt kept harping on wanting to stay in sch and miss her handbells performance. i kept on telling her to go but she refused. anyway today i made 2 jokes out of my life. first. i dashed on the road cuz of some wrong cue. without knowing that it was red light. so i couldnt reach the other end and i stood in the middle of the road for quite a long time. and yt was laughing at me. i guessed it was so embarrassing when a group of pioneers were behind me. next. was at library when yt wanted to find a chinese poem. i saw that book and flipped. found the poem, it's title and the author. so i thot of taking the book out for her to read. without knowing that books not borrowed couldnt pass the sensor. and the whole library went beeping. so cua tio for a while and so paiseh. and N and his partner were laughing at me. and that yt pretended that she donno me when i was waving to her. hai... what a joke!
had a meeting with mr chua and he is so cute when he thought of going to staff room 1 and fetch us down when we are already outside the meeting room waiting for him. receive our new task. which is the remedial. finally it's starting and i can teach something which is more of use and more relevant. i guess the students will find it interesting and engage in my lesson. so hungry and went for lunch with ZY. and N joined us. it's like. one hour later. thot they alr finished eating. when i wanted black tea, N bought black coffee and i still got the cheek to ask why is the drink so black... and he still got the cheek to tell me. teh o is black coffee. 'lousy hokkien' i mean... u don need hokkien to really understand this don't u? LOL... both N and ZY took such a long time to guess my CCA with ZY guessing it first. haha. great time to stress them. with options like. chinese orchestra, chinese dance, chinese drama (since the clue i gave was chinese related and clubs and societies) but the above choices are performing arts. what a lousy guess... nvm... lets continue. the funniest answer i got was calligraphy! and chinese tea appreciation... u mean there's so many chinese teas in the world for us to appreciate every week for two years? both of them were just too funny guesses. after releasing another clue for ZY. he finally got it right. but N still need a bit more time to think. and in the end. still got the name WRONG...
then a few teachers joined us and chat abt life... babies. family stuffs. mature topics. and also abt topics like sports. hmmm. why dont we play sports one of the days? since table tennis is hot favourite.
we really sat there til 315 when my math clinic starts. my 3 funny students. kept telling me. NOT to be math teacher. NONONO. dont lead a sad life. wah. this is the first time i got people telling me this. we also crapped alot abt sch stuff and so on. but they did listen to my lesson. afterall it's the last clinic session i had with them if they knew it. well i rather they dont. trying to scare me off studying math. and they too. wrote on the whiteboard while we were talking to mrs tay. she EH and i EH her too.. haha. then she said, "ni yao jing NUS MEH?" finally a teacher who speaks my words. gave us some advice and i return to my board (laoban already saw it) and it was so embarrassing for those students who walked past me. hahah... faster erase it off before there are more who saw it.
it's a long holiday again!
