My last day at work!

Time really flies. More than a month ago I just stepped into this place of unfamiliar surroundings and people. Then now, it's already my last day. I'm considered lucky already. Who will want to hire somebody who can commit for less than 2 months? Actually I told HR I could commit til YOG which is about 10 Aug. But recently I told them I need an earlier dismissal partly due to the voluntary participation of RSPHI activities, having more practices and events coming up, and I need to do my own stuff too.

Working for like one month plus? It's bored sometimes when you are not assigned to any work. I won't say the work itself is pretty bored though. It's fulfilling at times. But sometimes when not in a good mood, or the don't-feel-like-waking-up mood, makes you want to look forward to last day. But now, I have been used to morning alarm at 5 plus 6. I guess it feels great to start activities early in the morning. Well, in the future I have to get up even earlier!

For the first few days I worked under HuiShuan, Accounts Receivable Dept. That I known that she wants to borrow me for 3 days. Then after which I was under Penny, the Team Leader for Accounts Payable Dept ( actually initially I didn't know she was team leader simply because she had no name tag on her desk ) for a week or two before Huiling comes back. Then I was kicked back to AR again to help her and there. Then recently the last two weeks I helped Xiao Pin - the aka xiao mei mei in the dept. But they still calls me mei mei! I rather people call me mei mei than to call me xiao jie.

Huiling, Frannie, me and Xiao Pin. I sat on Huiling's desk for awhile before she comes back and used her computer! But when she comes back I heard her complaining that her things are missing. Well, no fingers pointing at me!

Sitting diagonally behind me. Frankie! Sometimes didn't get to see him because he will go around visiting each place. But thanks to his promotion, yesterday I got to eat pizza! He also offers me my favourite snacks sometimes like pineapple tarts and pong piah. I still remember on my first day (duan wu jie) when I joined, he offered me ba zhang but I don't want. He wants me to remember him as Frankie instead of the fat guy. eeee! people so bad... HAHA =D

I think her name is Xin Ruei. She look very young well at first I thought she was temp staff too when she just joined Toll later than me. But sometimes I will help her do filing or what.

Cyndi and Mei Choo. Both are very nice to me and they love my name! I don't know which branch of accounts they are in but I helped them with packing of archives. Ate lunch with them a few times too.

Li Ke. This Chinese lady from the opposite ocean freight office. I like her Chinese accent and took notice of it when she no-matter-day-night-sunshine-or-rain will come to disturb xiao pin and huishan after she had her meal. Recently there was this Citibank promotion and we went together too.

Inside the meeting room. They call it the board room. I get to enter it and sat on the meeting chairs listening to the citibank talk. Those car and vehicle models are cute!

Inside the ocean freight office, right outside the CEO office I think. I entered to this office by mistake on my second day of work. But this office is much more exciting than finance because there are more things to see. Operations and all kinds of logistic operations. TV, ships, command centre.

The Boss! HAHA. A very humourous man. Sometimes need to sneak to his office and take this name chop and stamp on invoices. He has same surname as me too!

I love the surroundings and scenery. Very industrial like. A good experience to work in such places.

Auntie! Our tea lady working in the pantry. Everyone loves her coffee. I personally drank it yesterday and it was nice! I guess it's fine to have senior citizens working with us too.

Bruce. The donno donno what programmer HAHA! My lunch clique. I think he is a great colleague and pal who always entertain me with statistics and uni stuff. Next time should I have any computer programming task I can ask him! YAY! Angeline, the one who called me and hired me. I love her long hair. Sometimes from my desk I can hear her shout very loud. wow!

Thanks to Huishan and Xiao Pin for the great present. I never expect any gifts or what. I just expect to have one or two photos taken when I leave. Never did I expect Huishan to voluntary be my photographer and went around taking photos with me. Even suggesting places I could take, without any complaints too! She is really very good and it was her who keep me belonged in the office. Guess what they bought for me? A 4 GB thumbdrive! To me, it was a valuable thing to own already. Oh my! Somehow I felt a little guilty not buying anything for them =( I will definitely miss her and having lunch happily with Bruce.

Wan Sin. I helped her sometimes too. Thanks alot!

Catherine and Chloe. Oh I love Catherine because she's very friendly, helpful and cute! No kind of work politics in colleagues seen whenever she communicate with me. I will also help her to do the packing of cheques. She will help me to clarify doubts unlike my 'boss' who will ask me to find a needle in the hay stack.

The good buddies. Frannie! She is very very pretty right? She sits behind me and I freeride her radio. But she seems listening to the same songs these days. HAHA! This is the first time I heard of this name. On my first day of work, she was not here so I thought the table behind I was sitting is a guy's table. But never did I thought it was from a 大美女！She is also a good helpful colleague and sometimes her craps are very funny.

Didn't get to take a photo with Penny. As usual she will appear stressed and cold and busy, and she left early today.

This one month had been fruitful I guess. I am quite adapted to the environment here already. Though there are people I like and don't like, I learnt to see the working world and there are bound to have conflicts around. I'm glad to seize such opportunity to learn!

I will miss them! But I have to continue with my life now...

I received a call from Hillgrove at a weird time of 9am. I thought they want to ask for relief teachers but hey! It's Miss Angela Chew. The school received news about my TA and she wants to have a feature on the school magazine thus inspire the future students. HAHA! Had a great catch up with her and she seems very pretty excited and happy for me. Though I am very afraid of her teaching me my weakest subject English in the past, but now, I look forward to catch up with her!

Great sense of achievement today! I completed all my tasks, just about to leave home!
