the more i know, the more i don want to know

this is the last week of term 1
which essentially will be my busiest week of all
cuz i have to cover 5 classes of math, mostly h1
and mdm lim's classes - 2 of them tgt with yt
and also the last week that i'll be taking s27

i just realised that their thurs lesson clashed with s25's lesson
means i have one less lesson with them ... sad

then i have to rush thru applications of scholarships
esp PSC .. MOE teaching scholarship that im vying for
so have to churn out essays to be edited
not in mood to really touch on the math syllabus and their admin stuff
everyday stare at the com with miss cheng...
churning out our essays and making decisions

that was a monday
when i was in the living room writing my essay
mdm fel tan gave me a piece of advice
"it's not abt the best qualities that u have, it's what each company look out for in u"
bear in mind the target audience
which is quite true

tues was less stressed cuz my essay was being sent for vetting
but more classes...
and i have to teach the h1 syllabus
mainly our A math stuff
i din really prepare..
to think that i can impromptu teach...
i have a great sense of achievement
that prepares me better and improve my public speaking skills i supposed?

nothing much on wed
just that a lot of lessons to be covered
til i hungry
saw the band lunch time concert

on thurs
i wore my hot pink dress to sch (the one i wore on first day of CNY)
and mr lee called me STRAWBERRY in front of everyone in the staff room
and he went to tell everyone that im strawberry =(
so i called him watermelon instead... a mutated one
drank him up (drank watermelon and apple fruit juice)

saw zhixiang outside staff room
kinda surprised cuz i was in my 'embarrassing' strawberry suit
took us quite a long time to realise that it was him
had a long day i guess

there comes friday
we had the staff lunch
finally im a staff and i can enjoy the good food in the canteen
but, i can only eat a little cuz my lessons clashed and i got to invigilate many tests
what a pity
after that there's alumni meeting... with peer coaches
abt the 10th anniversary project
PIONEER PALETTE
taught us how to use the paint and so on

tgif
went to catch a super abstract movie WATCHMEN
noone understands the plot
and it's M18.. first time im watching M18
violence and sexual content...
too gross at some parts...
i thought the movie would end some time
i took off my jacket
but so it dragged on and on
starts at 5.35pm end at 8.15pm
too hungry
went to food court to eat and caught up with one another
nice feeling of having friends around.. eating dinner
though its a simple fare, it makes me happy=)

went for NTU open house...
i went there early due to the talk that i wanna go
the intro to SPMS
saw frens along the way so i hop up with them (i saw him too!)

meet them along the way...
but the whole gang of us manage to go to the crowded booths
eventually we separated
i went for engineering talks and tours
some SPMS talk.. i regretted going the SPMS talk cuz its the same as the one i went
should have gone for the sports science and management talk instead

talks and bored tours...
met jl and went for office of admissions
after tt we left for dinner at JP
when i reach home my cousin was there
and he told me how good is studying econs
the prospects for future
the career prospects
the talent
i like econs
but its not a exam subj for me
though its essay
do i need to be very very well read before i can do econs?
i don think my writing skills are that gd
just afraid i don have the confidence to do it
but he told me: so long as u have the willingness and hard work...
nothing will be difficult and u will be able to make it
i would love to try...
should i double in math and econs?
combined degree in math and econs?
its so perfect combi
as it satisfies my NIE requirements of two teaching subjs
and flexibility wise: i wont have to limit myself to only one area of specialisation
i can jump about my choices.. to one more -- banking and finance

i was thinking abt that earlier
the prof said since math and econs is highly competitive
he suggested to put second choice as mathematical sciences...
then results good... second year opt up to math and econs
at that point of time, i would think math and econs would be less preferred to math sciences
got pple so 'silly' to put the more competitive choice as 2nd chocie???

NUS open house
gives me a big headache
i found that since NTU has direct honours...
theres no need for direct honours in NUS
cuz everyone can graduate up to hons...
even though its direct hons for NTU
academic results matter
and in NUS students can finish the degree with HONS within years
why not?? the NUS peeps say
first is whether i should take econs
second is if i should change my mind to choose NUS
cuz NUS offer more programmes than NTU
like those double degree prog combined with math
there's only a combined degree in math and econs

but for NUS there's with com science, econs and engineering
even applied math + com science
but stats is another degree le
where as in NTU .. if specialised in stats
the degree would still be math degree
but in NUS... its a difference in degree in math and stats
so the inflex within the flex
this one can later think...

went zhiying's house to play mahjong..
hope it helps us to lighten some burden on their shoulders
deciding what course to take
and also the raining soo heavily .. makes me so gloomy (pls don use emo to ever describe me and my cousin)
i don feel like going home
so we ended up at her house mahjong-ing...
learnt some basics of the game
thanks to li...

ended up going home late
and also worrying for scholarship application deadline
i've decided to apply for OCBC local scholarship as well
where as for other companies.. prob not

vexed ... donno what to pursue
math is a definite must...
but i don really wanna study solely on math
need some contrast to my uni course

after going to nus open house..
i realised i still have alot alot alot more doubts uncleared
i think only karen can answer them..

why do i always get into trouble for going home late all the time???
