It's quite awhile since I went out and gather with my friends. One thing I don't like about is going home late at night and mum being unhappy about me reaching home late =( Having being able to eat is really a blessing. The fish and chips was nice, as in, finally I regained my appetite. It's just a normal Swensen's fish and chips. But I just love it so much of the feeling that I was able to eat happily.
Since it was Simon's birthday, we treated him to earthquake ice-cream, but we also got a share ourselves la. They had new flavours but kicked out old and nice flavours such as yam and orange sherbet. Those are one of my favourites. My favourites are all sherbet icecreams because they are not so sweet and less milky and creamy. We started to camwhore about anything there since KP brought his tripod stand along.
We decided to go to Helix bridge for explore. We passed by a hotel, can't remember what hotel was that. And they were having some very high class buffet. So we were saying that's our 20th outing, in maybe ten years time? Let's see, the first outing we had was steamboat during Xmas eve. The second was KTV session at Chinatown. The third was Kite flying at Marina Barrage. The fourth was Sizzler celebrating KP's birthday. The fifth was farewell to HuaDong. And now the sixth, celebrating Simon's birthday!
Then at Helix, everyone was fighting for some place to take a photo in. There goes the competition for whose tripod stand is higher! Thanks to KP who brought the stand. So we can have some camwhoring session there, making it a fruitful one. Anyway the bridge is not open fully yet. So we walked and came to the IR casino unknowingly. We went in and explore the shoppes. We wondered why shops were being spelled that way, shoppes - maybe to look more high class that's why. But that's nice! Singapore is such a wonderful place that our tourist spots could be developed like this. In the future to come, I will be a tourist of Singapore, exploring all the attractions. As a Singaporean, I find my own place a WOW! I am amazed at the boat attraction from Fullerton Hotel to the Shoppes at Marina sands, though it feels like the one at the Mines shopping centre back in KL. But I think that could still be developed as a tourist attraction, convenient for them to go casino. We have also explored the outside of the casino, the 'checkpoint'. The whole casino was quite visible from the outside, as in we can see what is going on inside the casino from the place we are standing. It seems like a market to us, the way they place the casino tables and different gambling parts. We were saying it doesn't look like what we have seen in TV shows, which reminds me of 双天至尊. A good thing is in Singapore, they only allow a designated place for smokers, unlike in Genting where you can smell the smoke from the outside. Still, I am privileged to see this scene today. Because I know it is difficult for me to go in and explore. Who in the right state of mind, will want to spend $100 inside just to explore?
Next we went on to the hotel towers to explore. Especially the even higher class buffet dining area they have outside the casino. That was fantastic, with the soothing atmosphere around it. And at the same time, there is live music playing at the lounge below where it can be heard, the nice architecture that the whole Marina sands have. Whatever there... A very nice place. I find that it doesn't resembles my own country. It steems like I came to another place for tourism purposes.
A simple yet fruitful trip. We shall organize something like that again. Though today I am the one "Behind the curtain". There are still places in Singapore that I haven't gone to yet...
